Hi,
Thanks for the info. It's reassuring to actually hear from someone
using the script. I know it has a good reputation, but lots of people
recommend it based on the reputation (even me!) who haven't actually used
it.

I have absolutely no problem with buying the script, as long as it does what
it says on the tin. Our 97 script was free, but the trouble it saved over
PDW is worth many times more than the price sagekey ask for the scripts - as
long as theirs are as good.

Before we settled on Inno, I'd used the demo of wise to recreate our 97
installation and i've used the visual studio edition of Installshield to
create installers for other apps. I've also used msi but couldn't stand it!
I think we'll settle on Wise for price reasons (especially if it's a stop
gap to another setup engine), and as Installshield appear to have given up
on their script based installers in favour of msi.

The quantity of registry entries shouldn't be an issue, there's a wise to
inno convertor kicking around somewhere IRC. As long as there isn't too
much complex scripting I have to convert. And if we can't convert it, we
can always just use wise I suppose!
