Re: Access 2003 Developer Extensions - Not available

Hi

Any particular reason you are using Access 2003 ?

I just saved a fortune purchasing used, but genuine Office XP Developer
which included the full Office XP Pro. Needed a few updates to get it going
right but works fine now (except on a Vista install grrrrr).

You can save big $$$ if your application will run OK using Access 2002 or
even Access 2000. Also Access 2003 mdb files will work with Access 2002, or
you can convert your mdbs to Access 2000.

Office developer for the above can be found reasonably priced around
$200-$400 for Office XP developer and around $200 for Office 2000 developer.

So if it can work for you just sell all that you just purchased and purchase
used.

If Office XP (Access 2002) is suitable and you want someone to do the
package for you at a reasonable price let me know. My email is
bugs008@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Good luck.

I hope that there is someone here that can help me. I wanted to
deploy my Access database to another pc using the Access 2003 Developer
Extensions. Check the web and found out that it is part of Visual
Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System, which in turn is a free
add-on to Visual Studio 2005. Bought Visual Studio 2005 Pro. (Plenty
money right there). Installed Visual Studio 2005 Pro. Downloaded VSTO
2005 SE. Installed VSTO 2005 SE.

Now this is what grinds my bones.

Where do I find the package wizard?

From http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa167832(office.11).aspx:

To start the Package Wizard, click Start, point to Programs (or All
Programs), point to Microsoft Office, point to Microsoft Office Access
2003 Developer Extensions, and then click Package Wizard.

Mmm. Not there. Nothing new on my computer but the Visual Studio Pro
(Plenty money, remember). Start up Visual Studio and the VSTO's are
listed as installed components. For the life of me I cannot find out
how to deploy a Access mdb, mde using this product.

So, what am I doing wrong? Where do I find this Package Wizard? Or,
where can I find the Access Developer Extensions for download? This
should have been in existence sometime?
