Runtime and MDAC problem

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Hi group,

On a Win2000 Pro sp4 French, my A2K runtime (Off xp developper English)
opens and hangs up immediately :
"MS Access has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for
....."

I have tried to run MDAC, (advise of Microsoft) but message :
"Missing Dependency : This product requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01
sp2 or greater. Please exit setup and install the latest MS IE."

Problem : the customer is using Mozilla fire fox and doesn't have any MS IE
!!

Question : how to run MDAC without IE installed ?

Many thanks in advance.
