MS Access mde reversal

I have a application which our programmer wrote in Access 97 and
converted to .mde. Since the creation of the application the
programmer has moved on and I am unable to find the .mdb copy of the
application or the programmer. Is there a utility or tool that will
allow us to reverse the .mde back to .mdb? This application is
important to the running of our business and I need to make changes to
some of the calculated fields. Any help or suggestions are
appreciated. - Thanks
