Access 2007 + Unicode + Vista SP1

Two questions.
1) I require a full Unicode Font due to the fact that my database is not
only multi-lingual, but requires the use of U+2800 - U+28ff (Braille
Patterns). Does anyone know of a font which is near complete as possible.
2) In Word, one can type in the Unicode value for a glyph (character), and
press Alt + x to generate the actual glyph. Access 2007's Help says to type
the Unicode number on the number pad with numlock on. Well hey Microsoft!
That doesn't work as many codes have letters in them. For example 00E1 which
is a small letter A with Acute.
I know I could use the Charcater Map, but the proposed database covers 2-300
languages, and would be a laborious process to populate.
