Corrupted DAP Definition

When I try to create a new DAP or edit an existing DAP I get the following
error:

"The data definition of this data access page has been corrupted and can't
be repaired. You must recreate the page. Save has been diabled. OK"

The funny thing is my existing DAP's work (ie. I can edit the database
through a web site using them) but I cannot make any new ones?

The database is on my web server along with the DAP and I have the DAP
configured so that UseRemoteProvider is set to true. After this problem
arose, I cannot edit or even see the UseRemoteProvider setting.
